Nutella Cookies


Ingredients

  • 120g Nutella

  • 100g browned butter

  • 120g brown sugar

  • 40g sugar

  • 1 egg

  • vanilla

  • 160g all-purpose flour

  • 40g milk powder

  • 1/2 tsp instant coffee

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp baking soda

  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped


Method

  • Place the Nutella in a pipping bag and pipe circles on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Freeze until firm.

  • Boil the butter until the fat has caramelized.

  • In a bowl, whisk the butter, both sugars, egg and vanilla until slightly lighter in color.

  • Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, milk powder, instant coffee, and salt.

  • Quickly fold in the chopped chocolate and Nutella circles. The Nutella tends to melt quickly.

  • Use an icecream scoop to create cookie dough balls, and freeze the dough for at 30 minutes and up to a month.

  • Preheat the oven at 180°C and line a baking pan with baking paper.

  • Place the cookies on the pan spacing them out.

  • Bake for 13-15 min and allow to cool before serving.
