Hot Chocolate

A perfect warm hug in a cup with a foamy finish.

Note: the better the quality of the ingredients, the better the result.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1 1/4 cups milk

  • 1/4 cup cream

  • 80 g milk chocolate

  • whipped cream (for serving)


Method

  • Bring the water to a simmer in a saucepan over low heat.

  • Whisk in the cocoa powder until no lumps remain.

  • Add the milk and cream, then return to a simmer.

  • Whisk in the chocolate and cook, whisking frequently, until the chocolate is melted.

  • Divide the hot chocolate among mugs. Top with whipped cream.
