Fig Muhalabiya
The combination of the creamy texture of muhalabiya (a traditional milk pudding) with the rich sweetness of figs.
Ingredients
4 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp flour
vanilla
2 tsp orange blossom water
10 dried figs
Method
Very finely chop the figs and soak in hot water for 10-15 minutes.
In a pot, add the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and flour. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Drain the figs and add them to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add the vanilla and orange blossom water.
Divide the mixture into the serving bowls.
Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
