Pina Colada Trifle
This Piña Colada Trifle is a refreshing and delightful dessert that combines the flavors of a Piña Colada with layers of cake, pineapples, cream, and coconut.
Ingredients
vanilla pound cake, sliced
2 cans pineapples
1/2 cup condensed milk
125 g cream cheese
1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
1 1/2 cups whipping cream
Method
In a dish, place the sliced vanilla pound cake.
Soak the cake with pineapple juice from 1 can of pineapples. Set aside.
In a food processor, add 1 drained can of pineapples, condensed milk, cream cheese, and 1/2 cup of coconut.
Spread 3/4 of the mixture over the soaked cake. Set the rest of the mixture aside.
Drain and chop the other can of pineapples.
Top the cream cheese mixture on the cake with 1/4 cup of coconut and half of the chopped pineapples.
In a bowl, whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the reserved cream cheese mixture.
Spread the whipped cream mixture over the layer of coconut and pineapples.
Top with the remaining coconut and the other half of the chopped pineapples.
