Yogurt Cake (Gateau Au Yaourt)

Gateau au yaourt, or yogurt cake, is a classic French dessert known for its simplicity and delightful texture. Traditionally, the yogurt container is used as the measuring unit for the other ingredients like flour, sugar, and oil.


Ingredients

Note: the pot of yogurt is used as the measuring unit.

  • 1 pot (170 g) yogurt

  • 1 pot oil

  • 2 pots sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • vanilla

  • 3 pots flour

  • 1/2 tbsp baking powder

  • 200 g raspberries, frozen (optional)


Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Butter a bundt pan.

  • In a bowl, whisk the yogurt, oil, sugar, eggs, and vanilla.

  • Add in the flour and baking powder.

  • Fold in the raspberries.

  • Bake for 40-45 minutes.
