Carrot Halwa


Ingredients

  • 500 g grated carrots

  • 2 1/2 cups whole milk

  • 2 tbsp ghee

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp condensed milk

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder

  • 3 tbsp sliced almonds

  • vanilla ice cream, to serve


Method

  • In a saucepan, add the carrots and cook until slightly dry.

  • Add the milk and cook on low for 15 minutes stirring constantly.

  • Add the ghee, sugar, condensed milk, and cardamom powder. Cook on low for 15 minutes stirring constantly.

  • Fold in the almonds.

  • Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
