Brioche
The perfect, fluffy slice of bread for a sandwich, French toast, or pudding!

Ingredients
Serving: 1 loaf
500g flour
2 eggs
50g sugar
1 tsp salt
10g yeast
100g butter
200ml milk
Egg wash:
1 egg
2 tbsp milk
Method
In a stand mixer fitted with a hook attachment, beat the flour, eggs, milk and yeast until combined.
Add butter, sugar, salt, then mix for 5-8 min until smooth and elastic.
Proof the brioche dough in a covered bowl for 1 - 2 hours, until it doubles in size.
Divide the brioche in three and roll each into a log, then braid it tightly.
Place brioche dough in a 30cm long bread loaf tin.
Proof again until risen around 15-20 min.
Brush with egg wash.
Bake in preheated oven at 200°C / 390°F for about 25 min or until golden brown.
Cool down and enjoy.
