French Toast

One of my favorite recipes! I highly recommend using brioche instead of plain bread, like toast. You can get store-brought brioche or use the homemade brioche recipe I posted.


Ingredients

  • 4-6 slices of brioche

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp salt

  • vanilla

  • 2 cups crushed corn flakes

  • Caramel Apples (optional):

    2-3 green apples

    1/4 cup brown and white sugar blend

    2 tbsp butter

    salt to taste


Method

  • In a bowl, whisk the egg, milk, sugar, cinnamon, salt, vanilla.

  • Dip the brioche in the mixture then in the crushed cornflakes.

  • In a saucepan on medium heat, cook for 2 min on each side.

  • Caramel Apples: On medium heat, add the butter, sugar, salt and whisk until combined. Add apples and cook until soft.

  • Serve with the apples.
