Baklava
A healthier -and lighter- version of the traditional baklava!
Ingredients
1/2 tsp cardamom
1 tbsp rose water
1 cup pistachio
30 g butter, melted
2 sheets of filo pastry
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup water
Method
In a food processor, grind the pistachios. Add the rose water and cardamom.
Brush a pan with melted butter.
Lay a sheet of filo then add the pistachio mixture on top. Roll it into a log.
Cut the log into 16 pieces. Place it in the pan.
Spread more butter on top of the pieces.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
In a pan, boil the honey and water.
Pour the syrup on top of the baklava.
