Kuwaiti Ghuraiyba
Simple, crumbly, and melts-in-your-mouth.
Ingredients
Yield: Makes about 36 pieces.
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup gram flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
125 g (1/2 cup) butter, softened
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
vanilla
Method
In a pan, brown the gram flour over low heat until it becomes golden.
Sift the gram flour with the all-purpose flour.
Mix the butter, powdered sugar, cardamom, and vanilla until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Gently mix in the flours until the ingredients are combined.
Shape the dough into balls using 1/2 tablespoon of dough per ball.
Place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Press the balls lightly on top.
Refrigerate the ghuraiyba for 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 150°C/300°F. Bake for 10 minutes.
