Hazelnut Molten Cake
A decadent hazelnut molten cake with a rich, gooey center, served warm for an indulgent treat.
Ingredients
200g butter
80 g milk chocolate
120 g dark chocolate
5 eggs, separated
200 g sugar
100 g ground hazelnuts
30 g cocoa powder
vanilla
pinch of salt
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Line a 9” springform pan with baking paper.
In a microwavable bowl or saucepan, melt the butter and chocolate.
Mix in the cocoa powder and egg yolks. Set aside.
In a bowl, whisk the egg whites, sugar, vanilla, and salt until stiff peaks form.
Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture until combined.
Add 2/3 of the batter into a separate bowl and fold in the ground hazelnuts.
Pour the cake batter with hazelnuts into the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Allow to cool for 30 minutes.
Pour the remaining 1/3 of the cake batter on top. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until a film forms on top.
