Filo Flowers
Ingredients
4 sheets filo dough
30 g butter, melted
ground pistachios
Syrup
1/4 cup sugar
2 tbsp water
orange peel
1/8 tsp orange blossom water
Method
To make the syrup, in a saucepan, place the sugar, water, and orange peel.
Once the sugar dissolves, remove the orange peel.
Add the orange blossom water. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
Butter in between every four sheets of filo.
Cut the filo into 16 squares.
Fold the squares inwards tightly in a circle shape.
Place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Butter them on top before baking for 15 min until golden.
Pour the syrup on the filo flowers and top with pistachios.
