Fig Tart


Ingredients

Dough

  • 150g butter, melted

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

Filling

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup whipping cream

  • 125g cream cheese

  • 250g mascarpone

  • vanilla

  • 1/2 tsp orange blossom water

  • 1 tbsp rose water

  • 5-8 figs


Method

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C / 390°F.

  • In a bowl, stir the flour, sugar, and butter until combined.

  • Roll the dough. Press lightly in a 10 in tart pan and trim. Using a fork prick the base.

  • Bake for 20 minutes.

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the whipping cream and sugar until stiff.

  • Add the mascarpone, cream cheese, orange blossom water, rose water, and vanilla.

  • Spread the filling in the cooled tart crust.

  • Top with sliced or quartered figs.
