Fig Tart
Ingredients
Dough
150g butter, melted
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
Filling
1/4 cup sugar
1 cup whipping cream
125g cream cheese
250g mascarpone
vanilla
1/2 tsp orange blossom water
1 tbsp rose water
5-8 figs
Method
Preheat the oven to 200°C / 390°F.
In a bowl, stir the flour, sugar, and butter until combined.
Roll the dough. Press lightly in a 10 in tart pan and trim. Using a fork prick the base.
Bake for 20 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, whisk the whipping cream and sugar until stiff.
Add the mascarpone, cream cheese, orange blossom water, rose water, and vanilla.
Spread the filling in the cooled tart crust.
Top with sliced or quartered figs.
