Chocolate Tahini Cookies

Decadent and chewy chocolate cookies with a nutty tahini touch


Ingredients

  • 100g semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 50 g butter

  • 1 1/2 tbsp tahini

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 egg

  • vanilla

  • 1/3 cup flour

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • pinch of salt

  • sesame seeds


Method

  • Preheat the oven at 170°C/325°F.

  • In a bowl, melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave. Mix until smooth. Set aside.

  • Whisk the egg, brown sugar, white sugar, vanilla, and tahini.

  • Once light and fluffy, add the melted chocolate. Combine.

  • Fold in the flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.

  • Scoop the dough using a tablespoon on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.

  • Top with seasame seeds.

  • Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
