Salted Biscuit Tart


Ingredients

Crust

  • 200g salted biscuits

  • 70g butter, melted

  • 1 tbsp sugar

Filling

  • 100g butter

  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

  • 3/4 cup brown sugar

  • 3 eggs

  • vanilla

  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

  • 20-25 salted biscuits


Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F.

  • In a food processor, grind the salted biscuits. Add the sugar and butter.

  • Press the crust into a pyrex.

  • Add the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips on top.

  • Arrange the biscuits on top. Set aside.

  • In a saucepan, melt the butter, brown sugar, and whipping cream.

  • Remove from the heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes.

  • Whisk in the eggs and vanilla.

  • Strain the mixture.

  • Pour over the biscuits on the pyrex.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  • Serve warm with ice cream.
