Berry Tart


Ingredients

Crust

  • 100g butter

  • 3 tbsp sugar

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 tbsp water

  • pinch of salt

Filling

  • 100 g berries, blended 

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup whipping cream

  • 250g mascarpone

  • vanilla

  • 1 banana, sliced

  • 3 tbsp Nutella


Method

  • In a food processor, add the butter, sugar, flour, water, and salt.

  • Roll the dough. Press lightly in a 9 in tart pan and trim. Using a fork prick the base.

  • Refrigerate for one hour.

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  • Add the Nutella in the base of the tart. Lay the sliced banana on top.

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk the whipping cream and sugar.

  • Add the mascarpone, berries, and vanilla.

  • Spread the filling on top of the bananas.

  • Best enjoyed on the same day.
