Almond Bar

Delicious crunchy bars. The choice of chocolate is yours, but using dark chocolate will make it entirely healthy and vegan. I’ve used milk for some sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 1½ cup almonds

  • ½ cup rice cereal

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup

  • milk chocolate, topping


Method

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Line a 10 * 2" loaf pan with parchment paper. Set aside.

  • Add almonds, cereal, salt, and maple syrup fold until well incorporated.

  • Pour this mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth into a tightly packed layer. Bake for 30-40 minutes.

  • Slice into 6 bars.

  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Melt the chocolate and dip the bottom of the bar into the melted chocolate, scraping off excess and place it on the parchment paper.

  • Drizzle the bars with the rest of the chocolate.

  • Sprinkle some salt over the bars.

  • Place the bars into the fridge until firm.
