Healthy Chocolate Cake
You’re not-so-average chocolate cake, with a healthy twist!
Serves 12 - Calories 202
Ingredients
Cake:
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 cup oat milk
1/2 tbsp vinegar
1 tbsp vanilla
1 egg
1/2 cup water
Frosting:
100 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tbsp oat milk
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a bottom of a 9 in loaf pan.
Add the dry ingredients into a bowl.
Whisk in the oil, milk, vinegar, vanilla, and egg.
Add the hot water slowly while mixing.
Beat until smooth.
Pour batter into the pan. Bake 25-30 minutes.
To prepare the frosing melt the chocolate and stir in the milk. Set aside.
Once the cake is baked and cooled spread the frosting.
