Healthy Chocolate Cake

You’re not-so-average chocolate cake, with a healthy twist!

Ingredients

  • Cake:

    1/2 cup cocoa powder

    1/2 tsp salt

    1 cup flour

    1 tsp baking soda

    1/2 tsp baking powder

    1 cup coconut sugar

    1/4 cup olive oil

    1/2 cup oat milk

    1/2 tbsp vinegar

    1 tbsp vanilla

    1 egg

    1/2 cup water

  • Frosting:

    100 g semi-sweet chocolate chips

    2 tbsp oat milk


Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). Line a bottom of a 9 in loaf pan.

  • Add the dry ingredients into a bowl.

  • Whisk in the oil, milk, vinegar, vanilla, and egg.

  • Add the hot water slowly while mixing.

  • Beat until smooth.

  • Pour batter into the pan. Bake 25-30 minutes.

  • To prepare the frosing melt the chocolate and stir in the milk. Set aside.

  • Once the cake is baked and cooled spread the frosting.
