Date Tart
A simple yet delicious tart that combines your preferred mix of nuts with dates.
Ingredients
Crust
300 g digestives
90 g butter, melted
Filling
1 cup dates
1 cup chopped mixed nuts
3/4 can (300g) sweetened condensed milk
150g cream cheese
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cardamom
vanilla
Method
Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.
In a food processor, combine the digestives and butter.
Press into a 9” tart pan.
Place the dates and nuts (pecans, walnuts, pistachios, and sliced almonds were used) on the crust.
Blend the cream cheese, condensed milk, cardamom, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour over the nuts and dates.
Bake for 20 minutes.
