Date Tart

A simple yet delicious tart that combines your preferred mix of nuts with dates.


Ingredients

Crust

  • 300 g digestives

  • 90 g butter, melted

Filling

  • 1 cup dates

  • 1 cup chopped mixed nuts

  • 3/4 can (300g) sweetened condensed milk

  • 150g cream cheese

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 tsp cardamom

  • vanilla


Method

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F/180°C.

  • In a food processor, combine the digestives and butter.

  • Press into a 9” tart pan.

  • Place the dates and nuts (pecans, walnuts, pistachios, and sliced almonds were used) on the crust.

  • Blend the cream cheese, condensed milk, cardamom, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour over the nuts and dates.

  • Bake for 20 minutes.
