Date Crumble
A delicious and comforting dessert featuring a toasted date layer topped with a buttery, crumbly topping. Perfect for serving warm with a scoop of ice cream.
Ingredients
1 cup pitted dates
30 g butter
Crumble
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp milk powder
45 g butter
Pinch of salt
2 tbsp sliced almonds
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
In a pan, brown the flour until toasted stirring constantly. Transfer to a bowl and set aside to cool.
In a pan, add the dates and butter. Cook until the dates have slightly softened and browned.
Spread the dates on a 9*6 inch baking dish.
Add the milk powder, butter, and salt to the cooled flour. Rub the mixture together until it becomes crumbly.
Mix in the sliced almonds.
Add the crumble on the dates.
Bake for 15-20 minutes.
Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
