Carrot Cake

An incredibly moist cake with a drizzle of cream cheese sauce.


Ingredients

Carrot Cake

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 cup oil

  • vanilla

  • 1 1/3 cup flour

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 200g grated carrot

  • 1/3 cup chopped walnuts

Cream Cheese Sauce

  • 150 g powdered sugar

  • 125 g cream cheese

  • 25 g butter

  • vanilla


Method

Carrot Cake

  • Whisk the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and oil until thick.

  • Add in the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.

  • Mix in the grated carrots and walnuts.

  • Grease a bundt pan. Pour the mixture into the pan.

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for 40-45 min. Allow to cool.

Cream Cheese Sauce

  • In a bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth.

  • Slowly add in the powdered sugar and vanilla until it is smooth and creamy. Chill.

  • Decorate as desired.
