Apple Oat Cobbler
A warm and comforting dessert that combines tender, baked apples with a hearty crispy oat topping. Best served with ice cream.
Ingredients
600 g cubed apples
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Oat Batter
150 g butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream
1 1/3 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F.
In a bowl, add the apples, corn starch, sugar, and cinnamon. Toss until combined.
Add the apples into a 10-inch baking dish.
In a saucepan, brown the butter over medium heat. Stir until the fat turns brown.
In a bowl, mix the browned butter, sugar, brown sugar, cream, oats, flour, and baking powder.
Spread the mixture over the apples.
Bake for 40-45 mintues.
Serve with ice cream.
