Apple Cider Cake
A moist and spiced cake infused with apple cider, topped with a cinnamon-sugar coating.
Ingredients
1 cup apple cider
1/2 cup applesauce
1 cup oil
3 eggs
vanilla
3 cups flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
Coating
30 g melted butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C/350°F. Grease a bundt pan.
In a bowl, whisk the apple cider, applesauce, oil, eggs, and vanilla.
In another bowl, sift the flour. Add in the brown sugar, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
Pour in the wet ingredients and whisk until combined.
Pour the cake batter into the pan.
Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
Flip the cake and brush with melted butter until fully coated.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle the coating on the cake.
